    New hobby ...

    So I havent been around in awhile since I quit playing after the Commanders Cup in San Diego in 04;

    (Quick pic of me playing)

    So I recently took up a new hobby as a wanna-be bass player. Figured I would post up some pics of my gear and see if there are any other bass players, or music players around.

    My favorite bass, Schecter Elite Five String with flatwound strings.

    My Squier Vintage Modified Jazz Bass.

    And my amp .. an older Ashdown 400 watt with a 1x15 speaker cab.

    Only been playing since January of this year so I still suck, but I am working on it ... hopefully one day be able to play with someone in the area at small venues.

    So any other music players around; bass, guitar, drums ... etc ...

      Whats up ... spending way too much time on that Forum now LOL ...

      I tell you what, it might be a Squier ... but those new Vintage Modified series basses are just simply amazing. The sound is excellent, and they play very smooth for being a low cost line. I usually pick it up to play when I am trying to play some blues or jazz bass lines ... its style just seems to match those styles of music LOL.

            i play the electric triangle! we should form a band!!

            all joking aside, i envy you guys. ive been trying to play guitar for a few months now and i cant get the hang of it at all. Im way too clumsy to actually move my fingers to create music.

            and before you guys ask for a pic of my guitar just know that its a $50 guitar off ebay so it has no right to be in a thread like this one.

                I play a little bass and piano, but I've been playing trombone for 11 years. I have a Stradavious w/ F trigger. Sounds so nice. I was actually invited to play in a ska band in Cleveland, but it would've killed me on gas to practice with them.

                    Little Johnny and the Fat Cats. Also played a show with the Twist-Offs while thier trombone was sick.

                    Little Johnny is more rocksteady/raggae, but they call themselves Ska.

                    BTW, they're recorded stuff blows. Live, they sound pretty good.
