Model question (RR, diecast)

I need some shipping container models.

I have read about the different size models...N, H.O. ...all that.

If you know about this stuff, could someone give me a list of the sizes in order from smallest to largest? I'm looking for some about the size of a shoebox.

What kind of model? Aircraft, car, tank, sci-fi, etc? I'm more familiar with military aircraft kits. Usually 1:36, 1:48, or 1:72.

Ah I'm not familiar with trains. My roommate is though. I remember him saying something about Z-scale being really small.

n scale is crazy small.

ask him if G scale is pretty big. I think thats right.
