    the 69 got new shoes!

I got my new 36X12.50-16.5 Goodyear Wrangler RT's yesterday (tuesday). Mounted them last night on my US wheel white spoke steel wheels and threw about 10 oz of bbs inside to balance them. I ended up having to trim a few inches off the fronts of my fenders to make room for them, and also tightened up my front wheel bearings because they had a bit of slop in them. Anyways heres some pics of my old 69 F-250 with the new tires and rims!

Looks pretty damn sweet if you ask me!

        Thats slick

I got rid of my '94 f-150 last year and have been driving a '03 ranger. I miss my real truck and I have been seriously considering a trade to a small daily driver car and a good old boy like that Have fun with that.

EDIT: I just noticed the gun rack! exactly

Nice spot. Is that a .22? Looks pretty small.

that looks great, real nice and simple.

The 36's fit perfect on that thing, how big of a lift does it have?

i just need to buck up and spend the money for new rims and tires for my f150.

Yeah I've seen pics of these tires after people have grooved them and they look like they'd grip a hell of a lot better... Might have to get myself a grooving iron! It says right on the tire that they are 36"x12.50x16.5R but I haven't measured the actual height of the tire. They're definately close to a 36 though.

The pickup has no lift, it's just a factory hi-boy pickup. I had to chop out about 3" of the front of the fenders in order to have a little extra room, it was too close for comfort otherwise. The whole tire/wheel package ended up costing me around $525. But now that I've got the rims I can get the tires for $75 a piece from here on out.

The gun in the rack is actually a cheap pellet gun that I use for shooting pigeons in our haysheds. I need to pick up a cheap .22 that I don't care about scratching up and keep it in there too.

I'm impressed! Most people in CO have never even heard of Rocky Ford!

When I picked the tires up, they looked HUGE, then I mounted them on the rims and had them inside the shop and they looked average. Then when I got them outside next to the pickup to put them on they looked huge again, and now that they're on there they look perfect! LOL... it's crazy how much your perception of size can differ!

Also I think that vehicles that are lifted extremely high make the tires look much bigger, because I've seen pics of stock height, or barely lifted pickups (with lots of fender trimming!) running 39's and 44's and they don't look that big.

The melons are pretty dang good, some years better than others though. This one year we had our place rented out to a guy who raised melons and the field got hailed out and he completely abandoned it, but the plants made a comeback and produced all kinds of melons! They were by far the best watermelons I have ever eaten and between my mom, my dad and I we ate at least a couple melons every single day and picked them by the pickupload. My mom was giving them away to people she worked with and everyone in the close family had all they could handle. BEST SUMMER EVER!

And yes the town is definately good old small town America, not much going on, but everyone knows everyone else and the majority of the population are genuine, good people.
