I would hope that the resort you bought the pass at would either give you your money back or honor it next year..

            hmmm....

The world goes through weather cycles all the time. Ice Age, Global tropics, the earth weather cycles and is very unpredictable.

            ...pollution on the other hand....

The pollution of today is nothing like the pollution of the 60s.

And Al Gore did not invent Global Warming. He discovered it. When he built the internet he found it.

If some of you would actually get educated on global warming...

Global warming does not mean that the temperature goes up everywhere. It means that the average temperature for the entire world goes up. Global warming makes some places warmer and some places cooler. The danger is not that it will get too hot for us to live, but that the polar ice caps (yes, I realize this is an overused term and not everyone actually understands what it means) will melt and the oceans will rise. I don't mean like... 2 inches, rise. I mean 20 feet.
Think of Greenland. Did you know that it is essentially just another large ice shelf? As it melts, the water travels down to bedrock through fissures in the ice. The ice shelf then shifts on top of this ice, inching closer and closer to its eventual goal, the Atlantic. You realize that these ice shelves are hundreds of feet tall, right?

Don't even get me started... No really. I don't want to have to dig back into the books I've been reading for my Disasters class for the last 8 weeks...

                    But yeah, I want snow!
you know you play this game too much when the neighbors stop fixing their broken windows...

Correct The danger is not that it will get too hot for us to live, but that the polar ice caps (yes, I realize this is an overused term and not everyone actually understands what it means) will melt and the oceans will rise. Well....Sorta. like you stated earlier some places are getting colder. Therefore they will create ice, and the oceans will not rise as much. Also water will be vaporized, and move around the world. It might even cause grass to grow in AZ. I don't mean like... 2 inches, rise. I mean 20 feet. I live in TN. I am hoping for beach front property when it does rise.

Thinking that we (america/people in general) can affect the climate enough to cause the world to end (includes covering the world in water) is hilarious. It is just a gimick to scare people into voting for people who will "Stop global warming" My grandparrents told me how everyone was afraid in the 60s because of the "global cooling" that was in effect due to the amount of smoke that was produced, and blocking the suns rays. It has been proven that the earth has weather cycles. We are all just "along for the ride"

I can't believe some people actually trust reports that are generated by the UN by a group of scientists who's main goal is to PROVE that human accelerated global warming exists. They still have not produced conclusive evidence, but some people would like to convince you otherwise (politicians who enjoy controlling what you do/scaring you in to giving them more power)

I dunno. I have an open mind, and as soon as they can come up with some stronger evidence, I'll consider it. But for now, it's poof

                        O GOD OFFTOPIC

Yeah, it's snowing here in NH as I write this. Snow before thanksgiving. I haven't seen that in years.

I'm sorry, but global warming is a joke. It's all about control and money. I read a study a few weeks ago that I was trying to find so I could post it. It went on to state how in the late 1800's to early 1900's the big story was that the world was cooling and we would be in an ice age and crops would die and blah blah blah.

Then in the 40's or 50's it became global warming. Then the 60's or 70's it became ice age again. Then in the 80s and 90s we come back to global warming. So basically it's a crock. The world goes through cycles. As you may have noticed in the last couple of years we have gotten away from "global warming" and it is now called "climate change". Of course we should not pollute and we should take good care of what we are given in this planet, but most of the hype is just that, hype.

Learn to be a thinker, don't just beleive what is thrown at you.
