Thanksgiving in Iraq...

Well I thought you all would like to see how the Marines, Soldiers and Civilians spent Thanksgiving in Iraq at good ol' FOB Grizzly.

First, you get a surprise visit from the Washington Redskins Cheerleader Traveling Team!



Then you head to the chow hall which is decorated with all kinds of festive trimmings of the season..





Then the Cadre and the dining room staff serves you your food....







Then you have cake...



Then you get back to your hooch, lay down with your belt undone and take a huge nap.. I am tempted to stay up all night and watch football, but that makes 0430 get here much too soon...

The moral of the story... it was the only good day I have had here...

We had a lot of fun watching the Georgians steal everything from the holiday display that wasn't bolted down....including the laquered bread sticks shaped to spell "Happy Thanksgiving".
