    VMware

I've always thought it would be cool to run Linux but every time I loaded it on a PC I just kind of stared at it and said, OK now what do I do and went back to windoze.

It was not until I got into VMware and ESX that I started to really get into Linux. Now I had a use for Linux. I can virtualize many of my Window Servers on one piece of hardware. In fact I would recommend anyone to go download VMServer from Vmware for free and load it up on their PC. This will allow you to run an x86 virtual machine on Windows or Linux depending on which version you download.

At work I currently have 10 Dell 2950 Quad core servers with 16GB RAM loaded with VMware ESX 3.0.2 that I can run 14-16 virtual x86 machines per server. All the VM's, Virtual Machines, live on a Clariion SAN, back end disk storage attached via Fiber Optics, and I can migrate the VM's from one physical Dell server to another without shutting down the VM's.

His very adult philosophy, yet he couldn't let go of that blanket...that's funny cartooning right there.

Gutsy? I am dual booting Gutsy and Vista. I have not booted Vista twice in the past 6 months. I love Ubuntu, Kubuntu, and Xubuntu. What is really cool is you can run all 3 from one install. On Ubuntu the wireless issues associated with Linux have been close to resolved. It is a great OS. Congrats on switching over

Are you running an open or encrypted network?
