AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.
If thats the knight rider car then I want a refund. It's almost like saying the Dukes drove a Pinto.
Me= mad about the car. Why a Stang?
I would think it was hilarious, i didn't like the show and i saw one of the KITT cars in the Volo Automuseum this summer, and i laughed when i saw how ridiculous it was.
And AirAssault, it's a Trans Am, not a FB, either way i wouldn't want it.
Though i wouldn't want the new stang, it's overhyped and you see them way too much, not to mention they aren't known for handling, i would take an AE86 over that any day, but i would take a Lotus over any other car.
Il n'y a point de sots si incommodes que ceux qui ont de l'esprit.
I've been following this story for a month or so now, altho these new pics are the best I've seen so far, and I'm not impressed. I don't like that it's a mustang, I don't like that the voice will be different, I DEFF don't like the 'transforming' aspect (altho that's probably why they decided not to go with a Camaro (Bumblebee anyone?)). That said, from what I've read elsewhere, they WILL have the LED sweep, but they just haven;t gotten it working so far.
That said, in one of those articles they talked trash about the 1994 movie. I thought it was pretty good myself. That and they said that in that movie KITT made an appearance as a Mustang. WRONG. He was first a 57 Chevy, then a Pontiac Banshee concept.
That said, for the moment, I will give it the benefit of the doubt.
Ok, so as I start to write this, the show isn't quite over, but over all it wasn't bad. I don't think that KITT has the humanity of the original, and I miss the old voice too. And while I don't much care for the new theme music, I do love the fact that they payed homage to the original though. And while the Hoff looked like crap and his acting wasn't the greatest, I loved the 'one man can make a differance'. And at the end, I started to get excited but I knew it was to big to be a semi, then I realized it was an aircraft, not sure how I like that. I didn't particularly care for the morphing physiology, but the color change and reactive armor was cool.
Over all I must say I liked it, more so than I thought I would, hopefully they will make it into a regular series.
Yeah, I was stoked when I saw the Hoff (even if he did look like crap and his acting wasn't the greatest), but disapointed when he didn't roll up in the original. And while the ear peice communicator is more realistic, it'll never be as cool as the watch communicator!
Overall I thought it was decent for a TV movie. I too was disapointed that you deidn't see the old KITT but that might be somthing they're saving for the TV series since this was basicaly the pilot episode. I liked the rolling out he back of an aircraft but I'm not so sure I like the idea of them fighting crime around the world cause lets face it a mustang would stick out like a sore thumb any where other than the US,Canada, or Mexico.
My son and I watched it. So seeing from my perspective of having watched the original I actually enjoyed it. I liked the tie-ins to the original show and while the Voice of the Kitt is void of emotion, the car itself looked really nice. The reactive composite and the color change is a nice effect.
My son having never watched the original was also pleased with the show and as a fan of mustangs really liked the car.
I think if the show does continue that the characters will start to blend a little as they become more comfortable working together. I would like to see the voice of Kitt change a little.

well they had to change voice actors 2 weeks before it aired cause GM complained that the guy they picked did the voice on their GMC ads 2 years ago. So that explains that abit.
val kilmer is the current voice of Kitt. doesn't really fit if you ask me.
william daniels (mr. feeny on boy meets world) was the old voice. old kitt rules.
I always thought he was the voice, but wasn't sure. Only thing I knew for certain he (the original voice) had been in previously was 1776 as John Adams. Hell of a singing voice, lol.
I don't think Val was bad, just no emotion, no personality.
