I seriously doubt that you will need to do a full reformat, however I do suggest that you do a good spysweep from either a disk or from a website. Biggest problem is that many of the anti spyware programs will not work if you try to install over existing spyware so you need to run a scan before installing. This sounds like you have a key logger or a trojan.
I know that the install disk for my online service had a very basic spy and virus scan that ran before it would allow me to set up my modem. I think it is symantec that has an online scanner that you can use, but will probably require you buy product before it will actually do anything about it. You could try spybot search and destroy, but once again I am unsure how well it will do with things already in your system.
Purchasing a good anti (malware) is an investment that is totally worthwhile. I suggest getting Checkpoint Zone Alarm. Its a great program that contains everything you need to keep an entire system and network clean and protected.
As far as the lost password about all I can say is hope that they have email reset and recovery or you can try to contact the webmaster of some of the sites and see if they will help you recover it.Comment
