Build me a computer tower $1550

must FULLY support SLI. however i will only be running 1 hd monitor with 1 video card for the time being. must handle vista home with flying colors. must have dvd writer with lightscribe, and a media center on the front (thing with all the memory card slots and headphone mic ports)

    the fast the better

    Price =$1550

    and ... go!

also, most things being done on this computer will be image and video processing/editing. along with video games, however im not worried about running crysis on full settings

      Intel q6600
      Asus P5K Mobo
      4GB 1066 Ram
      2 500GB or 750GB HDD's
      2 DVD Drives
1 22in WS Monitor (Though two 17-19's are nicer in my opinion)
Video card of your chosing (Ati Vs. nVidea) I'd go with an EVGA 8800.

Newegg all that, you should be around your goal...

I just built a system for 1450, with similar stats.

I concur with Behemoth, but I would use the P5E MOBO. But, just my opinion

And, a P180 Antec case. Very nice to put it all in.

Dont forget the power supply, get a 650 modular or better, and dont skimp on the brand either or you will regret it.
WOW, sigs. Havent seen these in a while here on AO.

Depending on the graphics card, you'll need to find a PSU that has enough wattage, leads, and is good for your processor.

Case is a Case is a Case.

The only one i'd drool over is the Coolermaster Cosmos. Oh boy is that thing NICE. But NICE comes at a price...
