wow....he should take it to one of the ferrari auctions. No doubt he could get alot of money for it. Its crazy the gearbox even works!


IDK if your really set on building your engine.....but you could pick up a 600cc motorcycle engine for probably less than half building one.....espically if you consider your time into the equation. But if your in it for the pride of hearing your engine run....go for it! I built a small 2 stroke back in highschool....it was so great firing it up for the first time.


Always wanted to build a gocart/car like the atom roadster...with a 1000cc motorcycle engine.

well, if your going to build a motor, make it high compression and run it off of e-85 *shrugs*

e-85 is a cheap alternitave to race gas.


it puts out about 110 octane

wich means

More boost or compression can be ran without detonation. Wich means the same amount of power can be made from a smaller engine with more compression.

I'm going to fix that in about a year.

but hey this e-85... 110 octane huh. higher compression eh?

Well already at 11:1 for a v-12 610cc engine, I haven't even figured out where to put the spark plug... there isnt enough room for it to stick out!LOL

Im still learning tho... I read a little bit about diffrent octane ratings relating to an engines ability to go into high compression without blowing by itself under the pressure, so IDK if I can even have that high of ratio for my fuel. My jumping off point was an F1 engine... and im slowly working my way back to reality.
