Oh so sad........ I used to work at my college turning on and off the sprinklers and would always soak these losers playing with their swords all dressed up Sad to see the guy died but no great loss to society.

Actually, it IS a loss to society. This guy was responsible for creating a pretty big thing. things influenced by DnD are everywhere.

yeah I know, that was my point, and why I said no great loss. I know for some of you D&D is a way of life and are prob putting on your costume as we speak, but he wasn't a Kennedy for crying out loud. Again, sucks the guy died.

DnD is a board game, genius. You're thinking of larpers, which is hilarious. Not every person that plays DnD is a 40 year old guy in their mother's basement... never played it myself, but I know people who have. it's just like paintball, do you know how many people ignorant to the game picture you running around a forest in face paint when you tell them you play?

heaven forbid a bunch of people should dress up in weird clothes and run around the woods pretending to kill each other.

Yeah, it was sad hearing about it last week. I remember looking through all the D&D books admiring all his drawings and the kind of things he came up with. Although I played for a little bit, I wasn't as hardcore as many...but his legacy lives on not only on pen and paper, but with every role playing video game out there.
