AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.
It basically the Islamic version of kosher. Most likely it means they won't use pig based gelatin in the creation of the paintballs.Though I'm not sure why it would even apply to paintballs as they aren't food but I guess it to protect against accidental swallowing.
Assuming its the whole maybe-they'll-get-some-in-their-mouths thing:
wouldn't they also have to convince everyone else they're playing at to use that stuff also, since the other players are the ones who would be shooting at them?
Or is that announcement driven more towards field-owners to try to get them to switch over to that paint to bring the muslim crowd?
Or is it reverse marketing to the average consumer: Hey, there are going to be more muslims down at your local field now that the field is halal and you all remember who is responsible for 9/11, so come on down and get some muslims?
Cuz you know in some of the more redneck areas, if they figure there will be more muslims at their field, they'll show up to get some 9/11 payback...
/no offense to muslims. . . or rednecks
//please no banstick, I'll edit if necessary
Seeing as their made in India and shipping them on a boat to the US would mean spoilage in paint balls they aren't for the US crowd. So I'm sure youa re correct on them not being for the American market.
They could be huge in Indonesia though. I wonder where they are getting the gelatin though, if they are Halal that means no pigs, and since its India that means no cows. Will they be made out of chicken? Cause that's kinda cool.
