Have you looked at the Garmin Rino, FRS Radio and Color GPS all in one?

The radio functions on those suck. You would be better off buy separate radios & GPS. I use a Magellan eXplorist XL and I like it a lot. . It's a little big at times but the bigger screen is nice. The new Garmin Colorado and the Magellan Tritons are supposed to ok and have a lot of nice and un-necesarry features but both have had some issues that are supposed to be fixed with firmware releases. Like Madmarx said, the Garmin 60csx is supposed to be the all around best one right now.Originally posted by LooperHave you looked at the Garmin Rino, FRS Radio and Color GPS all in one?

Thank you for your opinion.Originally posted by Eatem AliveThe radio functions on those suck.
Could you please go into more detail about what exactly do you dislike about the radio functions on the Rino? What about the GPS part of that device, does that "suck" too?
I always thought it was a nice feature that if all the people in my hunting party had Rino's we could transmit our locations to each other via the built in FRS/GMRS radio.

Did you check out the Garmin 60 CSX?Originally posted by jaywmustangwell i should add it has to be handheld
If you don't need the electronic compass you can save a few dollars and buy the 60 CS.
Either way they're easy to use w/ lots of options.
Hand held and weather proof.

Garmin is by far the best brand of the GPS receivers I've used. Easy to use, easy to update, and compact. You will pay more but its worth it.Comment
