    Define Dolt...

I think that about sums it up...

I guess it could have been a misunderstanding though. He might not have known it was fake bill... I doubt it though.

Dude, there are NO coincidences when criminals are involved. The benefit of the doubt does NOT apply.

I did say I doubt it... LOL! I am well aware, I was just stating that it was possible and has happened before. I have dealt with people passing bad bills several dozens of times at a job I used to have

He is and will be in jail/temp cell at a PD until he can go to a bond hearing/prelim. That is for the best.

I do not know enough about him to give an opinion. He may pose a flight risk though. I doubt he is a danger to anyone, so they will likely just give him a HUGE Bond. That'd be the way to go, unless the guy is dangerous based on information that I do not have (entirely possible). He is looking at some serious trouble though.

I was given a fake $5 bill as change at a KFC, later was trying to buy something at a quick-E-mart and was told it was fake. Not saying the guy didn't know but I didn't notice. These things do happen. Flash washes it a bit, it looks darker and closer to the $1 in real life.

when put next to a normal bill, you can dell the difference but by itself, not so much. They used one of the pens on it to tell.
Due to the objections of a certain Canadian, this space is now for rent.

It all depends on how familiar you are with currency I suppose. I used to have a job where 1/5th of the time I was dealing with fake bills. It is fairly easy to tell by feel though. Even if the bill has been washed/rubbed, or otherwise "treated" it is not really that hard to tell. Plus there is always security threads, "the strip", and the holographic ink that makes it easy to tell.
I did say it could be a misunderstanding, but I doubt it.
