It's your tattoo, if you want the approuval of people, you are not getting the ink for the right reasons.

      X2

You get a tat YOU want to get, not one people say you should get. I have 4, and am planning more. My kids names one on each upper arm in black/grey, 4 puzzle pieces in black and grey under my sons name, Blue autism speaks puzzle peice on my right calf.....

There is a reason for each, it needs to be a personal choice, not the popular one. As mch said, if you need approval, you are getting it for the wrong reasons. Come up with an idea that means something to you, then you can be truely happy with something that will be there long after your dead.

          Chrisew09,
I'm a very extensively tattooed person, in fact my body is close to if not 50% covered.

it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks or suggests for or about a tattoo that is going on your body.
remember that is no such thing as a big eraser that can remove the ink once it is in your skin.
a disk grinder will work, but i don't see that as a viable option.
the design of the piece must speak to you.
when you see the right piece you will know.
nothing anyone else can say should alter that, with in some guidelines.

          1) do not settle for the first tattoo shop/artist you find.
a tattoo is like a minor surgical procedure and you should take the same level of care choosing your artist. i have personally searched for 14 years to find the right one to do my right sleeve.
don't just let your buddy do it, if you needed a heart transplant you wouldn't let your buddy do it now would you.

          2) inspect the shop throughly, make sure of single use needles and autoclave sterilization.

          3) don't get anyone else's name on your body, not a good idea. if you must use runes or Asian characters or some other symbology.

          4) don't be cheap! cheap work is not good, good work is not cheap. don't get ripped off, but don't go looking for a bargain either.

          5) do not under any circumstances let Dave Sanders of Renegade Tattoo work on you. you will regret it.

                    Thanks for the advice.
I wasn't looking for approval just though maybe someone would suggest a cool idea that I would like thats all.

My wife and I where looking at different tattoo's last night and I think I have a good idea what I want.

I like the tribal Jesus looking back with two drops of blood running down his face.

Yes, there is "Leviticus 19:28", but my personal belief is that this book was written for the Levit's and you need to understand why this book was written and why God commands what he does.
