I'm a junior in college. I write for my college newspaper, I'm interning with a daily paper this summer, and I'm planning on continuing journalism as a career once I graduate.
The Poynter Institute is a wonderful web site that I have set as one of my homepages. It is basically a constantly updating source of advice for journalists.
Recently, they held a contest for people to submit their best/funniest ideas for a 6-word definition of "journalism." I submitted a few, and one was picked for a finalist! So you should go here and vote for your favorite (which obviously will be Dirty commie latte-sipping liberal scum, because that's me, and clearly the best one).
