Agreed - I'm leaning towards Kramer, I like a touch more cant than the "FBI cant" and the #3 does exactly that. Its horsehide so should hold up well, even if it is a bit stiff to start. I'm not a great big fan of the Milt Sparks (not enough cant, and 26 week wait). I have always liked the Bianchi professional but am going to try something a little more "custom" this time. I thought about doing something exotic like shark skin for the holster, but decided that was just vanity.

Heh, I'm going to get shark skin accents on my next holster. Vain? Maybe, but I sure like the way it looks. Go on, treat yourself, you're worth it.

To Lohman I'd say, if you're that worried about terminal performance that you must have the absolute best bullet in 9mm in order to be sure it'll do the job, perhaps a step up in caliber is in order?

What most people in the debate fail to realize is that when compared to full size (shotguns and rifles) and serious handguns (now I'm talking the 460, 454 etc.) that one could have great confidence in "one shot stops" the .45, .40, 10MM, 357MAG, 357SIG, 9MM, .38, and 380 all have a lot more in common than not.

I never said that a 9mm was insufficient, I said if you're very worried about it being insufficient, which it kinda sounded like you were.

I'ma guess that any BG you or I are ever likely to meet will be just as convinced of the error of his ways after you've poked a couple of 9mm size holes in him, as he would have been if the holes were say .45 sized.

A 9mm may not put a fellow down and/or kill him as quickly as a .45 ACP or a .40 SW would, but I'm betting for all but the super sumo looking guy jacked up on some kind of drug, it'll be plenty of incentive to bugger off, and if it don't kill the fellow outright, it'll at least give him something else to worry about, besides doing you harm.
