Haha, ain't that the truth. Being 16 pretty much limits one's choices in the job market.

They vary greatly. I just graduated with a degree in Graphic Design and mine was definitely one of the least crazy out of my class.

Just be honest and let them know what you can do.

I would try to keep it under a page. I have quite a lot to write on my resume (first out of college job, craploads of projects/relevant classes), and it is under one page. Remember people will be skimming through tons of these things, a long wordy resume won't get you more attention, it can get you ignored.

But alas, at 16, not sure where you could work that you would need a resume. Good luck though!

I wrote up a "resume". I don't think it's very normal, it's two pages long and I made it kinda corny. I think it's well-written, I just don't think they're looking for that, they probably just want to hire people that have had real jobs before and that might have some sort of referee certification. But if I went with a plain old, "list all the stuff you've done" thing, I think it would be worse. The only thing I've ever achieved things with is playing the cello. I hope they know what a cello is, and how competitive it can be. I listed all the stuff I've done with cello, hopefully it shows that I'm not a slacker. But paintball experience? I don't have any paintball experience! I've played once (yup ), and besides that it's just going on forums, buying a few guns, thinking about it every day, etc. So I just put that I knew how a bunch of guns worked and that I could diagnose and fix a bunch of 'em. Besides that, I just wrote two corny paragraphs that I hope will make them think that even though I've never had a real job, I have the work ethic they're looking for. I mean, I'll just be cleaning stuff, setting stuff up, and reffing. I figure reffing will be the hardest part, and the only part of what I'd be doing that they would rather hire someone older for. So who knows. I doubt I'll get this job, but I'll sure as heck try for it. Thanks for the advice everyone.

If anyone reads this before I send it tomorrow morning, where do you think I should put my age? I mean it's pretty obvious from the content of the resume that I'm pretty young. As the document is now, they find out towards the end in the "education" section, where I say I'm a junior in highschool (I just finished sophomore year).
