mgd is midrange, corona is piss beer, microbrews is where it is at
My favorite is blue moon with an orange. Thats for when I want to enjoy a beer.

Dos equis cannot be beat for quarters and beer pong with me.

MGD is mid range for sure.

I like Blue Moon as well, but for some reason it leaves me with a terrible headache. Even if I drink only one.
I am really a fan of pretty much any pale ale.

I also like Lienkugels (sp?) Honey Wiess.

Not a real big beer fan in general, always was more of a Bourbon guy myself.

Well at least I know I'm not the only one who gets a headache. Fat tire does the same thing. Coors light... is the worst, its an instant hangover.

          JD single barrel. FTW

MGD is freakin expensive. Natty FTW. Though when money is less of an issue, a keg of yuengling is the standard.

              Berry Weiss is pretty good.

As for the whole MGD being mid range, there was a time when i couldn't stand the stuff because my dad always drank microbrews or imported stuff, and that's what i always got a sip of when i was a kid. Actually i think that's one of the main things that stopped me from drinking at parties a lot in high school, that and having to drive.

But yeah, one of the brands that's fairly good that comes to mind is Tyskie or something like that, there's other ones but i forget their names right now.

Oh and Guinness is pretty damn good, it's an acquired taste but it's good.

I love Blue Moon but without the orange. My staple is Heineken, just always been drinking it for some reason or another. But recently I have a craving for some slow pour black & tans. It just seems crafty to combine Guinness and Harp without mixing them.

If you're drinking Guinness somewhere other than the bar, your best bet is the cans. They use a different widget than the bottles, slow pour 'em into a glass and they're almost as good as on tap. Of course, I hear the stuff in Ireland puts their exports to shame. Hard to beat a good black and tan, though - can be tough to pour, but it's worth the effort. Use the back of a spoon to break the fall of the stout and you're golden. If you're getting to much of a mix, bend the spoon so you can get it closer to the ale in the glass.

My favorite beers these days are mostly Shipyard beers, from a microbrewery up in Maine. Old Thumper (a non-traditional English bitter) is my favorite beer of all time, but their Export Ale and Bluefin Stout are close seconds.

There are some great summer beers out around now, too. Sam Adams Summer Ale is great, nice lemony taste without being overpoweringly fruity. Speaking of which, Harpoon's UFO (hefeweizen) is great as well, especially with a slice of lemon. They make a Raspberry Wheat which is also good but not overpoweringly fruity, like Wachusett Blueberry.

Favorite dark beers for me are Sam Adams Black Lager and Saranac Double Diamond Bock - probably some others, but those are the two that spring to mind.

Oh yeah, the stuff in the can is pretty damn excellent, it's stronger than what most people are used to but it's really good.

As for Ireland, they make so many billions of Guinness per year, half of it goes out to the rest of the world, the rest stays in Ireland, and it gets drunk in that year, but yeah i've never heard about them making it any differently, if they do i need to go over there.

When I was in Germany I got to liking Holsten Pilsner. Becks is also a good beer you can get here in the states. Warsteiner Dunkel is good too. But Warsteiner has the effect of making me very tired. That Hoeegarden stuff tastes awful... but thats just me.

for parties coors, coors light, bud light (although its starting to taste like piss water) or a keg of whatever is cheap.

for being poor its usually, keystone light, after we're already drunk its milwaukee's best.

the occasional oberon with slice of orange is delicious though.

Bud light? That stuff's always tasted like piss. I've just never been fond of bud, it just tastes horrible.

Heh, when I first started drinking I thought I didn't like beer. Turned out I just didn't like crappy party beer.
