    Door dings

So I stoped at Frazolis today and got myself a door ding. It was a parked parking lot, with only one space availible. The van on the left of me was on the line, the van on the right of me was over the line and diagonal. I figured I'd let the wife out and then park, and once we got our order I'd be able to watch and see both vans leave. And since I was in a small car no one should have a problem getting in theirs.
By the time we had ordered the one on the right was gone. When I got out to the car I had burgundy paint embeded in my door. Now here's the kicker. In all probability I can find this van. It had a big sticker on the rear window that said 3:16 and some thing about pro life. It's obviously a church goer and there aren't that many churches around here. It was a late model Caravan...obviously burgundy.

I wonder if it's worth going after? Will the police do anything? Should I find where they park and drive my beater up next to it and "get out".

Not worth the hassle in my opinion.
If it's just a ding... you'll most likely be getting more unless you park at the very back of the lot every time.
People suck, they know they did it and didn't care I'm sure.
I've actually watched people ding my car and when confronted they denied it.
Without actually seeing it happen and having their info the cops aren't likely to do a thing.

There's a business around here called the Dent Wizard. They charge $100 per panel to remove door ding.
