Nice bike! It may not be too much of a problem where you are, but beware of dust build-up on street corners. It's like ice when you only have two wheels to start with. It would surprise me on dry days.

also be careful when it first starts to rain, depending on the road surface it can get EXTREMELY slick.
congrats on getting a bike! have fun, try to keep it shiny side up, and wear your gear....even if you get all hot and sweaty its better than having scars from going down, I know this one from experience.Comment

nylon/textile jackets work great..i slid on pavement at around 70MPH for a solid 100feet..luckily there was a tree stump to stop me and shatter my pelvis before i got seriously hurt..err wait
