AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.
The Packers are retarded and those who forced this better pray Aaron Rodgers is the next coming. If he is as great as other first round draft picks (Matt Leinert, Philip Rivers his first year, Quinn, Vince Young without running, even Manning) I can see an overhaul of team management after going.... 6 and 10

he actually got traded now? I got bored of hearing constant guessing and other bs, so I stopped surfing over to sportcenter the last few days. Its kind of disappointing, but if hes happy all the better for him....So whos going to be the next to retire and then un-retire for publicity? Its getting old, but it works every time.
i'm glad it is over. After 4 years of on again off again speculation of retirement and then he does retire, then coming back after management drafted accordingly that he was not coming back. When they could have picked up a better running game or front line to help him out he was his own worst enemy.
It is like a marriage, after being threatened for so long about leaving it is best to kick em to the curb irregardless of how great a lay they are.
I look forward to this season, go green and gold !!

Just need to hold this to quote for 4 months or so :). Favre going to a team that was 4 and 12 last year (so who can expect much). Rodgers taking over a team that was 13 and 3.

And look what both of those teams have done in the off season. I doubt the Jets are going to go to the super bowl, but they have made some good moves.
I would expect that the consideration the Packers will receive is a 2nd round draft pick; that requires the Jets to make the playoffs and for Favre to take 70% of the snaps. They tightened up the biggest problem areas they had; look for Thomas Jones to have a big year due to the combination of a very good offensive line and with Favre, the downfield threat means safeties have to leave the tackle box and respect the medium to deep pass, something that was never a problem for defenses with Pennington. Coles and Cotchery should be able to put up some numbers now that there is a downfield threat with Favre as well -- less predictable, routes may now extend past 15 yards. Gholston has apparently been a stud in camp, and with the personnel moves on defense to support the 3-4 I'd hope that the Jets could do better against the run, and their secondary was always decent.
Should be a good/better year for Gang Green (and its tortured fans).

Agreed - but many fans will look at the record change and equate it to Favre. It may be like Montanna in KC, but I doubt Rodgers will prove to be anything like Young.
Nothing against Rodgers. Of the people involved I think he has found a way to handle the entire situation "better" than anyone else. That being said I think there is a reason he slipped so far in the draft.
Until Rodgers proves he is a deep threat the running game in Green Bay will suffer. I order to be the deep threat he was Favre had to risk interceptions. I don't think Rodgers will have the leash to allow him that. Until he proves he is that threat defenses will stack the tackle box making the short pass and the running game less effective and forcing him into an area that he was not ever shown he was great at (the deep pass).
I think Green Bay management let Favres past public frustrations (over not getting Randy Moss / naming McCarthy coach) effect their decision making badly.
