AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.
So, if you were me, would you do it... Desert Eagle .50AE for a .460?
I want to start hunting deer and was pondering a .44mag 10" barrel for the Eagle (Rifle hunting in OH is illegal).
Toss a scope on top and a .50 or .44 should knock a deer down if I do my part.
A .460 has TWICE the power of a .50AE and half the complication - but the DE s just so freaking sweet.
Maybe I'll just get a .440 Corbon Barrel - Alot closer to the .460 than the .50AE and same great platform.
Harvesting a typical organically-grown wheat field has been shown to kill approximately 80-90% of the vole population. Harvesting a field of corn in the Northeast kills roughly 100-200 field mice per acre.
Conversely, a single cow produces a meal for over 100 people.
Eating animals actually kills fewer animals (indirectly, of course) than eating grain.
Of course, this doesn't count what pesticides do. But, you know, insects probably don't count.
I wonder if vegans use antibacterial products? Do they feel bad about it?
Who gets to decide whether one form of animal life is more valuable than another?
Clearly, vegans have no problem destroying plant life so what makes animals different from plants? Is it just vertebrates that they care about? How about eating eel or squid? Where do crustaceans fit in?
Too much crap to worry about for my taste. You know my differentiation? Human and non-human. Those beings who have a soul and those who don't.
Pig? Not human. Aim, shoot, chow down.
Before: "You're playing with WHAT?"
After: "Crap! It's that guy with the pump!"
