can any body give me advice on a good but cheap xcar to get as a first car?? ive found the datsun z series they all are prwetty cheap but do they run good? why are they being sold for so cheap do they break sdown alot anybody have any info on cars that would be good for me??

The Z's were great cars according to a lot of people I've talked to.

The Zs are great cars. The reason they are cheep is because they're getting old. If you can find one in good condition you'll love it but most of them are getting towards the end of their lifespan. I'm not trying to talk you out of a Z. They really are fun. Just be sure you get one in good condition.

Dude, any older VW's (like Mark III series, from about 96 to 99 model year) are EXCELLENT cars. They are fun to drive, very reliable, and just plain run forever. You can usually find them pretty cheap, and parts are plentiful if you needed them.

so the z series are good lil cars if you can find one in good con. i really like the black ones that remind me of a vette kinda

I'd only consider one of the 87+ 300ZXs. The 280ZXs and 240Zs are just tooooooo archaic and gutless. Fast cars they're not, but they handle like nobody's business, and they seemingly last forever. My pop has an 86' 2+2 w/123k on it, he loves it, and my brother has an 87' Coupe w/187k on it, he loves it.

How about the nissan 350 Z? The design is kinda whack but I still like it... Gotto love the VQ35DE engines...

Z cars are neat. I'm thinking a Datsun 260 or 280 will be my next project car.

Do your research before you buy one of these. Hell do your research before any project car.

a great project would be to build a chevy 350 from the ground up and nestling it between the front fenders of a 280ZX.
