    Printers

I need a good printer. I need it to be:
    • reasonably quick
    • able to print in both draft and good quality
    • low cost per page
    • it needs to be dependable
    • it needs to work with XP SP3, Vista Home, and Ubuntu
    • ability to photocopy/AIO is a plus but not needed
    • be of reasonable cost
    • ability to print a few thousand pages between ink changes
    • only BW needed, but color is ok
    • must be able to handle ~1k pages per month (should not be an issue for a modern printer)
    • Duplex printing is a plus

To give a brief synopsis, I need to print about 100 to 110 pages per class per week as it is now. My Dell 720 (free with PC) is not cutting it and too expensive per page. I was looking at some brother and Samsung models on Newegg. Can anyone make recommendations?

I used my mp360 cannon and loved it, but since i changed computer, their are no drivers for Vista.

I chose Canon for it's durability and low cost for ink. Black ink was 9$ for a full black cartridge and 25$ for colour. My next printer will be another Cannon, but for now i print at school .

That $9 ink yields about how many pages?
