AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.
MONROE, Wash. -- Police here say a man who robbed an armored car driver at a bank Tuesday morning jumped into the Skykomish River on an inner tube to get away.

couldnt that be considered aiding and embedding a criminal, especially since they were getting paid? Wonder if the cops even tried to find who posted the wanted ad.

It was likely done with an alias and from a public computer. It would be difficult to track.
I doubt that there will be charges for the paid "actors" who assisted though because none of them had any intent to rob the bank or assist in a crime (I assume). If they had a reasonable belief that they would/specific intent to participate in a crime then they could each be charged with a count of conspiracy and armed robbery (depending on statute in WA). If they did have intent/reasonable belief then they are potentially all liable for some count of robbery in the federal system, if this is to be considered a bank robbery. That is kind of iffy in my mind because he technically stole from an armored courier and the bank itself if my understanding is correct. I know that all bank robberies get kicked to the feds, but I am not sure about this because he stole from the courier (I do not know if an armored truck robbery is automatically federal jurisdiction or not). But in any case, if they did not intend to assist in the crime then there is no real liability on their part.
EDIT: Aiding and abetting is usually reserved for folks who are accessories before and after the fact.
Imagine what someone like this could do if they took that creativity and pursued legitimate endeavors. Right now Bank Robberies are hitting recent highs accross the country. Historically, Bank Robbery Season peaks around the holidays. Not a good sign.
Personally I wish that every bank robbery suspect wore a target so the police sould shoot them cleanly!
