I'm thinking of picking up an older 2wd ranger.

i'm thinking of tubing the back and long travel on the front, i could do a budget pre-runner for like 4k

Is it just me or do you have racing seats in your truck?

DJM 3" beams up front, 4" flip kit on back. The seats are APC racers on brackets I made. The skins are 70s, but today I mounted up a set of 60s, dropping me another inch or so...the mud flaps are really grinding now

As for the tailgate emblem.......well duhhhh

swap the taillights for some tinted OEM lights, or just OEM lights, Install a rollpan in the rear.
polish the headlight lenses and i think it would look great.

I got rid of the OEMs, why would I want them on again? Notice the white and chrome theme? The clear lens is all about the theme People around here suck at driving, so rollpans pans don't last long...I need the bumper I've got new headlight frames on the way too, as I've polished these twice already.

BigE, nope, just the little 'ol 2.3L. It's my daily driver, and I don't need a bunch of power for point A to B. It still gets up and scoots despite being starved for absolute horsepower.

2.3 is sloooooow! unless its the turbo version, no offense or anything, they are great motors and go for many many many miles.

                      not saying my truck

True, I won't smoke'em from light to light, but I don't drive like that anyway. This putt has been running for over 254,000 miles with minimal problems, so I'm doing something right

got to love the small truck engines for reliability if you treat them right.

When I sent my truck to the junkyard it did ~20 minute long burnout with 3 tires....had to send her off with a bang, expected the bang come from the engine(2.5l pushing 200k miles) but was the popping of tires.

too bad the body went to crap so bad, wasnt even worth trying to fix....oh well car gets better millage for now....plus its mostly plastic.

i've got a '93 dodge dakota i just bought, 285,000 miles on it. Runs like a top, needs some small things replaced but the body is in pretty decent shape for 285,000 michigan miles.
