Looking for a House building program

I am looking for cheap or free programs to use for designing a house.

I remember reading some info about those container homes a year or 2 ago. Really interesting idea. The fact that the homes would be so modular and could be reconfigured in a matter of a few minutes with the proper equipment is really unique. Too bad people are so focused on aesthetics....although I honestly dont think they look bad at all....exterior is not really any different than aluminum siding.

I wonder how energy efficient these can be....doesnt look like they put much emphasis on it with the thin wall panels/insulation in the animation.

I watched a special on those container house. While intersting I dont think thats what I am looking for.

You can find Revit in a torrent file. Although personally I hate that program with a passion I would much rather just use AutoCAD. But ah good ol' pencil and paper how I hate yee.

i've used vectorworks for years for arch drafting, designed a couple for customers too, great program, can even do fly through videos with quicktime
