Hey, I have a holloween idea and would like some imput/help to design it. Going for the classic devil costume, mask w/horns, red outfit, ect. I wand to make a small devils wand (3 spiked trident) that can discharge an nasty but safe shock. Ive seen those electrified fly paddles, and was thinking of getting one and reshaping it but they take D batteries and would like to use something smaller (AA or AAA) in a round handle. Only looking for this to be 2 feet long or so with push button on/off. I dont have much experience with this sort of project so any help would be great.

well, some lighters have a thing in em that discharges a small spark when u push the button, which can be removed. U might try usin a couple of those, lengthen the wires, so u can push the button n the prongs send a small shock.

Exactly, besides tazers....yeah i shouldn't even have to explain why that's a bad idea. disassemble a disposible camera, and use the cap from the flash.
You push the flash button, and you hear the whining of it charging up, then when you touch the prongs to something mettalic it sparks, but when you hit someone (or yourself) its a gentle little tingle.
When you discharge it on something metal (and it sparks) its no longer hot.

You don't know what you're talking about, those things hurt, they don't freaking tingle. When you've taken apart a camera and accidentally touched a capacitor and weren't expecting it, you learn that it's not just a tingle, and that's what people will be feeling because most likely he'd think of it like a prank and do it when they weren't expecting it, even when you are it's more than a tingle. This is not like those little pens that shock you, because that is a tingle, and that is funny cause it's not much of a shock but enough to startle, and so i laughed when it happened and even did it again cause ti felt cool, a camera's capacitor does not feel cool or weird, it's not something you would want to try again. never said th tazer would be a smart idea, just a fun one, but the ignitors from lighters n grills dont really hurt imo, similar if not less than a good shock from runnin on carpet n touchin someone.Comment

How would it be fun, enlighten me. Assaulting someone with a tazer (believe me, if you went up behind a friend with a normal tazer and shocked them, if they decided to press charges against you for being such a huge douche, it would be charged as armed assault most likely, or at least assault) is fun to you? Even with a grill lighter charges could probably be pressed if you do it to the wrong person. I understand that it would be stupid if i go around tazering* people, BUT that is not the intention. I do welcome your concern that i should be carfull and respectfull.
