disclaimer: if you get your *** beat for shocking people, its not my problem.

Cool idea, Ill check it out. Seems like it has potential as long as its not too much of a ZAP. Im not too worried of pissing people off, I will test on myself to make sure its a "fun" and not a hurtfull experience. Thanks

Wow, you go from trying to insult me to thanking me for my concern about you being careful. And i still think it's a stupid idea, and if i were you i would only do it if people welcome it to avoid those problems, because like i said if i got shocked when i wasn't expecting it i would kick the guy's *** no matter who it was. And the main reason i assumed that you were going to go around zapping people on the *** is because mainly the guys that think up these ideas are the kinds of douches that would do this. If you really are going to do this and do it only to people who welcome it, don't let go of it or one of your friends may end up in a world of hurt because they might think it's funny, and that just causes messes. Either way i still think it's stupid, but hey, you can't stop people from doing stupid things i guess.

And as for the comment about me sitting by myself and drinking, grow the hell up. So i think you have a stupid idea, that must mean i'm not capable of having fun.

i never did say to taze someone with the prong(taser one), but i prolly shoulda mentioned that i wouldnt, which was why i came up with the other idea.

and i dunno if yer aimin the "douche" part at people who dont think itd be that bad to get a slight shock, then that's kinda messed up. I mean, just because you dont think itd be fun to get a slight shock doesnt necessarily mean noone else will. And i'm sure he only came up with this idea knowing his friends wouldnt be the type to get all hurt over that.

also, the part where i said it'd be fun, I meant it as a fun project, not a fun thing to use on people, needed to clarify on that.

TASER, tase, tased, tasing, etc all have an S as opposed to a Z. It means Thomas A Swift Electronic/Electric Rifle.

Fun project maybe, but seriously what else would you use that for? And even if his friends aren't the type to beat his *** over that sort of thing, it's still a douche thing to do, going around zapping people when they aren't expecting it.

Oh, and greenaliens, i was wondering why it kept saying i was spelling taser wrong, although just typing it up shows that that doesn't register as being spelled right either, maybe Taser? Nope. I dunno, i've never looked into the things too much.

sorry to offend(only good at being nice)

Snoopay- hope you have a fun holloween, sounded like you were bashing the whole process of my idea (which caused me to assumed you were not any fun or creative) and not just the use of high dischard device in the project(which i am against). I was looking for constructive critisism* in making something that would be safe and fun. I have seen lots of pranks and props and this seem like a pretty tame idea, i dont see what the problem is about getting a small shock. Ive been tased before and would not wish that to anyone unless they deserved it. So getting away from the battle of whats approprate on holloween and how this device will get my face pounded, any productive thoughts on how to dampen the current from the disposable camera flash.
Ohh and i do plan on zapping people in the "***", if that make me a douche then so be it, but i think it will be accepted, appreaciated, returned and rewarded.

Like i said, it depends on the person and the amount of the shock. Touch a camera capacitor when it's charged, see if you think it's a good idea, if not go for the grill lighter, because shocks are always worse when you don't expect them, if it's something tiny that people won't get mad over and your friends can take a joke then yes, you probably won't get your *** beat. That being said, i still think it's a fairly stupid idea, but at least be somewhat intelligent and don't make it something that hurts at all, because if it hurts you even a bit when you're expecting it, it'll hurt more when they aren't.

Tased is the proper word. I know what a TASER is. I was applauding you for correcting your spelling. See my above post

Going to visit some professionals on this project I just found some youtube vids on disposable camera stunguns. Going to avoid that route, those things are powerful.
The more research i do the more i see how carfull i need to be in order for this to be a toy and not a weapon.

Wise choice. If you were to it the grill thing will substantially reduce the propensity of this thing to get you into some trouble. Just make sure that you focus on using LOW CURRENT. Voltage hurts, but current kills.

Also, look into your states compiled statutes or laws and case laws in your area. I think I mentioned that above. There are places where carrying an ECD (Electronic Control Device) or whatever the statutory title is in your area, can get you into SERIOUS trouble, even if it "in good fun" and a home-brew apparatus.

That's exactly what i was talking about. I would suggest you do some research on it like you intend to, personally i would steer clear of it altogether, but if you're set on it just be sure you know it's hard to find the line where toy ends and weapon begins.
