Creating electrified wand

Really, a cattle prod is not like a taser at all. It delivers a enough of a shock to zing you but not incapacitate you. I don't think you would be at risk of angry people unless they would get ticked about getting slugged in the arm or something harmless like that. And they usually have an adjustment setting to them.

Hey, I have a holloween idea and would like some imput/help to design it. Going for the classic devil costume, mask w/horns, red outfit, ect. I wand to make a small devils wand (3 spiked trident) that can discharge an nasty but safe shock. Ive seen those electrified fly paddles, and was thinking of getting one and reshaping it but they take D batteries and would like to use something smaller (AA or AAA) in a round handle. Only looking for this to be 2 feet long or so with push button on/off. I dont have much experience with this sort of project so any help would be great.

Those fly paddles use a grid of wires placed closely together in order to deliver what to a human is a very small shock. My thoughts would be that placing the appropriate leads so far apart on the tip(s) of a trident would keep that particular device from working.
As far as the "pain" aspect from those in particular. They are commonly sold here in the adult toy stores for spanking with.....hey, not my thing, but ok.

Even with the grill igniter it has a gap to jump across to complete the circuit. I would doubt that your target would feel much, if anything at all through clothing.

My thought would be something that vibrated. Something along the lines of the old school shake hand shocker thingy. Of course it could be rigged up out of a small electical motor like an adult toy....I am noticing a theme here, lol. The vibration would still get the "whatwuzdat" factor, without truly being harmful in any way.

That may not be a bad idea. I brushed my leg up next to a case tumbler and it really got my attention cause i wasnt expecting it. It vibrates using a fairly large motor with a counterweight throwing it off center.

if your interested in using vibration, find an old garbage xbox controller....open it up, rip out one of the rumble motors and counter weights....hook up some batteries(dunno required voltage, but I think they are dc motors) and you should be good to go..

But yeah, if you have an old controller use that, otherwise you could spring for a more womanly product...

Actually, I have several close friends that work in that industry, so the mention of such things does come up frequently. We tend to be a bit less sensitive to the mention of "adult" items as some.

I tend to be more traditional in respect to toys. I feel like aside from the ring bolt in the truss, climbing harness, cape, mask, and four foot ladder that I was given all the equipment I need to complete the job.
