I think a lot of us are missing this part , as long as the electoral college is in use , it really doesn't matter how we vote , the delegates vote the way they want ( or are paid to vote ) so the popular vote doesn't mean much

Exactly, there have been a president who has gotten in office while losing the popular vote. One example of this is how Gore won the popular vote in 2000 yet Bush got in office. In fact, this is the only instance of this i can find, i thought there was another but i can't seem to find it.

Edited due to my lack of memory thinking this happened more than once.

        *facepalm*

        1824, 1876, 1888, and 2000 would like a word.
God....I guess I was probably returning videotapes.

So it's horrible that i don't have those committed to memory for some reason? I thought that there were more examples, and i made it clear that that was the only instance i could find because i thought that at least one of the other examples was more recent and i also wasn't about to waste a lot of time searching since i still got my point across.

I LoL at idiots that put people on ignore because that is something a 12 year old girl would do. Of course if you quote someone that will show up even if you are on their ignore list. Oh well, there is one born every minute.

I mean, I dunno I think that avoiding confrontation [on the internet] is the best way to stop senseless arguing. In person or real life I believe it's the complete opposite, but when 99% of the time people absolutely refuse to back down simply because they don't care to, then ignoring them is the best action to take.

And honestly, you guys are making fun of McCain's stance changing? Seriously? Come on... I'm a liberal and even I'm disgusted by how Obama is playing with people's minds.

I acknowledged that he has changed on stuff, but the topic was on McCain, and also his change was a tad more drastic. Both candidates suck, but we haven't had a good candidate for these past two elections.

I understand Snoop, I know and acknowledge that there are level headed people on the internet that actually take the time out to understand (And by understand I don't mean briefly read through a couple of ideals that candidate supports) both sides of an issue. I'm happy that there are more people like that out there, it gives conversations worth.

Ok, it just seemed that that was more directed at me because truthfully i did hop on the bandwagon and brought up how he changed his stances haha. I dunno, our future looks pretty bleak right now.

                      It's not horrible.

It's just irritating... I tend to find most 'stream of consciousness' posts really annoying. Is it that difficult to take 10 seconds and put together a cohesive statement?

Wait, what wasn't cohesive about my statement? I said i didn't find any others because i didn't want to sift through all the different elections at the time looking for other instances of it. Oh well, looks like we have two people that act like children on here.
