Disturbing trend

I just got a mail from my local gun shop. In it he was telling me that gun distributors passed along a 200% price increase almost overnight after the election.
With gun sales hitting peak levels I find this rather disturbing, but not unheard of for gouging to occur at peak demand.

if I knew people would be buying no matter what(thanks to the probability of an upcoming ban) I'd push prices too.

I thought the ban stopped production not sale? If so gun manufacturers/distributors probably love the idea of a ban. All they have to is overproduce now/stockpile/inventory to sell during the ban....and they can massively increase profits since people are willing to pay for it because they are scared.

but I thought the previous ban was for manufacturing? The only experience I had with it was looking for high capacity pistol magazines, so I know very little about it. From what I told, over production and stockpiling is what the manufacturers did prior to the previous ban(for high cap magazines).

They can ban all sale of that which is not already in public circulation. Just because it was not done with every aspect of a bill before, it does not mean that it cannot be. This was done with some Title 2 objects. No sales are allowed accept those that were already in public hands, those are fully transferable.
