If some of you don't understand why a majority of Americans are upset, then you'll never "get it". So just go on living your lives and let the rest of us try and fix the problem.
Due to the objections of a certain Canadian, this space is now for rent.

Please detail the problem and the solutions (in detail) to how to fix them.

A lot of people have a really easy time detailing the problems but have very vague and ambiguous solutions. Yes, there are things that could be better, but there seems to be nothing but vague talk of change and divicive (sp) rhetoric from the rank and file. That being said it looks like the leadership might do better.

You dont have to know a solution to recognize a problem. Assuming that there is a definite solution leads to even bigger problems. Keeping an open mind and listening to what other people have to say is how true solutions are developed. Ever hear the saying "standing on the shoulders of giants"? Most of the time it is used to refrence great minds in the past, but I think it could also mean listening to the people around you.

You likely recognize many problems, but dont foresee a solution, so admitting they are problems is frightening. The first step in solving any problem is admitting its there. If you deny problems exist by demanding a solution before the admission of the problem, then how will you ever develop a solution?

I don't for a moment deny the problems. However the answer is not change for the sake of change. Most problems will take generations to sort out, jumping from one solution to the next every four years does not give any of them (from either side) the chance to be fully implemented and see success.

Besides, I would argue our biggest problems are fundamental and have to do with morality (and yes, I do apply this to business), general greed without consideration for the future, and other issues that are outside of the control of government as we know it now.

Can the government do things to help? Sure. Can we blame government for our problems? We do. Is it fair or reasonable to do so? i doubt it. Should we be dependent on the government to hand us a solution or should we base that solution on personal level? I think depending on the government is irresponsible at best.
