John Cena (WWE) makes children cry

Id like to start by saying I could give a crap about wrestling. That being said I feel obligated to spread the word about how this man treats his fans. On occasion I help my father with his concession business. Last night we worked a semi-pro wrestling (Florida Championship Wrestling) event in Fort Myers, Florida. Mr. Cena was there but not to wrestle just to draw a crowd and sign autographs. After a brief stage appearance there was an intermission (9:00 p.m.) at which time he headed over to the signing table to greet his fans. Mind you I am outside working at this time. So about 10:00 we see a group of about 30-40 people leaving the event and looking very disgusted. There were even a couple of children crying. So naturally we inquire what was happening inside. A mother stopped to inform us that in the middle of the signing sesson John Cena gets up without saying a word and leaves. He left about 50 people standing there who had waited no less than an hour in line just to get his autograph. One gentle man furiously barked that he had driven 200 miles to bring his 8 year old daughter to see him. When I say these people were pissed I dont mean just grumpy. They came out as a riotous mob.

So as were closing up shop after the event were chatting with the people that run the expo hall. Come to find out Mr. Cena just "got tired" of signing autographs and went right back out to his bus. Now that even made me mad. I guess he has forgotten that hes not a sports celebrity but an actor. And without the support of his fans he would just be another broke muscle head. I mean the guy can bench 400# but quits when he gets a hand cramp? The score of parents that were involved will undoubtedly not support their childrens interest in wrestling ever again. And the children themselves lost a little innocence that night when they found out their hero was a dick.

Its just another case of celebrities forgetting how they got where they are. And it made me so mad I had to share (vent) in hopes that those of you with kids of your own will not continue to support this man. I have also written letters to his fan site and the WWE regarding the situation. Maybe if they kick him in the paycheck he will think again before he scars somebody elses kids.

What a douche-nozzle. I hate when people do that sort of thing. That is like many celebrities I've seen though.

I used to be a huge wrestling fan. (Not so much anymore) I used to read that he was actually one of the 'better ones' in regards to his fans. I guess years of steroid and pain killer abuse has finally gotten to him.

He doesn't have to sign an autograph for everyone. How many fans do you think show up early at professional sports events expecting to get autographs and don't receive them? It's a chance you take when trying to get an autograph. You either get one, or you don't.

On another note, let me mention that anyone that sad that they didn't receive an autograph from John Cena has more things to worry about. It's probably worth less than the picture of him it's written upon. I have personalized autographs from both Yokozuna and The Rock, only because my father met them and thought it'd be funny. I sure as hell wouldn't go out of my way to get one, and boo freakin hoo to those that happened to be unlucky enough to not be in the section where he started giving them.

If his job was to actualy to draw a crowd and sign autographs, to me, he fails at his job.

He was there to draw a crowd and sign autographs. He drew a crowd and signed autographs. Nowhere did it state exactly how many autographs he had to sign. He did his job as far as you, I, or anyone else in this thread can assume. The people who gave him the job may disagree, but until one of them shows up here saying he had to sign x amount, when he only signed y, there is no more discussion.

Those kids and parents owe him a big thanks. Maybe they won't turn out to be white trash hillbillies now.

I mean seriously. Wrestling was a bit of a joke even back in the good old days. And I was very into wrestling back then. Today it is an unwatchable soap opera.

Heres some proof of my wrestling allegiance back in the day:

                I still have all those.

Im guessing the WWE execs. will feel differently. And you know damn well thats not how you treat your fans.

Well I hope you are right. But i'm guessing they won't give a rats sweet patuty.

I guess he treats his autograph like economics. Supply and demand. The less he signs the more they want. Do you actually expect him to sign every autograph? He would be there all night. And you know what. Once he had sighned that last 50 there probably would have been another 50 that jumped into the line.

Thanks! They are my daughters. She loves them.

She actually plays with those wrestlers more then I do. She calls them "the guys".

He could at least have the plumbs to address his fans who were standing in line instead of just walking away.

Also, he could have had event personnel cut off the line (no new people allowed in line) and finished it off. That would have been another option.

He conducted himself like a douche-nozzle. There is no two ways about it.
