Holy medical miracle Batman!! I did not know that this technology even existed. That is nothing short of amazing, at least in my eyes.

              wow poor dog

wasnt there some scientist or philosopher who was beheaded, but kept blinking his eyes as proof that he was not instantly dead? same idea, just hook some hoses up and feed the brain oxygen enriched blood to keep the head alive longer.

That film with the dog is fake. It was proven that they could indeed keep the head alive for several minutes, but it did not respond to stimulation like that. They only pumped oxygen enriched blood into it to keep it alive. The neural system needs other components to function. The experiment really happened, but it was a failure. The video was propaganda done with simple special effects.

I know there was allegedly a nobleman in the French Revolution that continued to gasp and blink for minutes sans body.

That's good to know, so the experiment was still pretty horrible but not as horrible as the video would suggest. I bet if they tried with a catfish they would have more luck, i mean i've seen one live for minutes sans head, or sans body, depends which half had more brain.
