Isn't it funny how old memories can be sparked by a song or album?
I recently dug out a bunch of my old CD's and Albums. Just for you youngins, and album was a vinyl disk that had music embeded on it. (lol) I have been sitting around listening to them and having the memories flooding in.
I found my Motley Crue Shout at the Devil album. It was the first rock album that I bought myself with money I earned. I blew out the speakers on my moms Fisher Stereo system with it.
Scorpions Love at First Sting. I originally had the Album with the cover that was later banned for being too racy. It along with a good deal of other things was stolen from me, and was actually the item I went on to miss the most. Such a good album, cover to cover.
Van Halen 1984. The first CD that I ever owned. If it had been possible I would have worn the thing out listening to it so much. The stereo I had at the time had a setup where you could plug in a microphone and if you "tricked" the tape deck into the record mode you could sing along with it. This was of course LONG before Kareoke (sp) machines.
Billy Joel The Stranger. Started out as my mothers album that I stole from her. I always loved the song moving out. Mostly just for the car screeching down the road at the end.
Guns and Roses Appetite for Destruction always reminds me of one of my first girlfriends. She was from the same area of California as they were and commented on how "old" all the music was, even though the album had just been released here. Rocket Queen was one of the best tunes...won't get into why, but I still catch half a wood when I hear it.....lol
Ahhh memories.
