Steelrat: One of my good female friends has a phoenix tattoo. The tail starts on the side of her waist and comes towards her stomach as it goes up, stopping below her boob. It looks amazing IMO.

As far as choosing a tattoo.. everyone i know who has gotten one because it was special to them loves it. On the contrary, my ex girlfriend got a tattoo of a polar bear on her ankle (I gave her the nickname polar bear, and was the only one to call her that) 3 months ago, we broke up, and last I talked to her she was going to try to get it covered or removed or something. As for location, be smart. The same ex girlfriend got one on the underside of each wrist and one on the top of her forearm, and had problems finding a job because of it.

Don't rush it just because you're going to the convention. Get something that means something and you'll never regret it.

I got a stick figure running on my left shoulder blade.

I asked the artist(s) to draw it for me (the tattoo parlor had both artists there draw it and then yo picked the one that most suited what you had in mind).

They were kinda apologetic about the price (parlor minimum) because it took the guy well under 10 minutes to do .

Great inspiration to keep me running too, cause it would look stupid on me if I gained back all the weight I lost because of running.

I do agree with the others, make sure normal clothes cover it.

Oh, I won't be getting anything that's visible with work attire. And I won't rush it, but I've been thinking about it for quite some time.

The belt Chewbacca wears around his chest, only around your chest.

                        You'd look too cool.

I did the turn 18 get a tattoo thing, but it was a small tribal piece on my arm, I recently added to that piece, now its a tribal sword going thru a pair of tribal wings, it symbolizes strength and honor to me

on my opposite arm I have "socal" I'm adding to that later this month, I'm putting a skeleton with a bandana over his face and a baseball cap on. The image has seen diff renditions on "socal" brand clothing, the bandana is a california flag, and the hat is a flat brimmed new era hat , tilted over the left eye. I wear the same style hats the same way, flat brimmed hats, tilted to the left, left symbolic of the west coast. Born and raised in socal, its a place with its own culture and lifestyle. And ill never forget where I'm from.
