    My new guitar

I recently bought a new guitar and I thought I'd show it off. It's my first acoustic guitar. I've got a few electric guitars, and that's primarily what I enjoy playing, but I wanted to get one nice acoustic to have. I ended up spending significantly more than I intended, but It's worth it.

It's a Taylor 2008 fall limited, cocobolo/koa GS. The back and sides are cocobolo, all the binding is koa, the bracing is Adirondack spruce, and the top is a sitka spruce. It sounds great, and the build quality is excellent. I tried to take some pictures, but I'm terrible at taking decent photos. They really don't do it justice.

Well. It sounds much better than any of the other acoustics I tried. I'm terrible at describing what a guitar actually sounds like. This is the smoothest acoustic guitar I've ever tried. It's easier to play than some of the electrics I've played before.

Taylors are wonderful guitars. That looks like a nice one!
I'll have to post some pics of my "harem" later on when I dig out a photo. No taylors, but since we have guitarists here I figure why not?

PS.... I LOVE Koa wood on guitars!

The group has grown by a few extra guitars and the rack of doom is not pictured yet but you'll get the point....

I see you've got an RG570 in there. That's my daily driver.

I love the koa too. My girlfriend was born and raised in Hawaii, so I really wanted some koa on the guitar.

Yes, I bought the RG off the bay and did the burned stain job myself. Wanted it to resemble the Jem BSB.

I used to be big time into ibanez. Had the Rg and a Jem Floral at one point. Sold the Jem for money for a Parker. Now my band has a US Music endorsement so I can get Parkers, washburns, and randall amp stuff through that. Man I should have kept the Jem tho....

I've been keeping my eye out for a good deal on a used Jem for a while. I'm a big ibanez fan. This Taylor took a big dent out of my guitar funds though.

Taylors will do that especially with how much inlay you have going on there. It is truly a beautiful guitar. I wanted to repurchase a Jem Floral but they are so counterfitted right now I would only buy locally froma reputable dealer and currently nobody has one.
Out of all the guitars I own my Parker is the only one I really play live anymore. The others are hanging around for my children's college fund or if they decide to play.
