    I won my first race

Understand, I never ran in high school, the only running I ever did before last year was part of Kenpo

    5K - 29:14 minutes

    ON SNOWSHOES

Won by a second over second place, 2 mins over 3rd

This course was designed to be challenging, it went from the high challenge cross country ski trails to dunes - and there were no gradual decents . Give you an idea the top runner (in shoes) was at 25:23. He told me afterwards be coped with the downhills by sliding down them rather than trying to run down them.

It was a lot of fun, these organizers are known for challenging courses

Congrats! Sounds like a brutal course too.

I signed up for a marathon in October (original goal under 4HRs, thinking of aiming for 3.5), a team (5 man) 100K relay just for fun in September.

There is a half marathon one week before the full one I would love to do but am thinking I know better.... than again, that never stopped me before

And a 5K run in may I intend to be under 20:00 on, which would up my PR by 40 seconds.
