    Story:

(April 2) - Staff at a British aquarium have captured a massive sea worm that had been terrorizing other aquatic life.
For months, the 4-foot-long creature -- which staffers call "Barry" -- had been devastating coral reef at Newquay's Blue Reef Aquarium, the Daily Mail newspaper reported Tuesday. The menacing monster also apparently injured a Tang fish.

Initially, aquarium workers weren't sure what was harming the coral, which in some cases was cut in half. After weeks with no clues, they decided to take the display apart to see if they could find the culprit, the Mail reported.
Workers laid bait traps, which were mysteriously destroyed in the night, as the glutton apparently devoured the fish hooks right along with the bait. Finally, staffers spotted the tropical worm, which bit through a 20-pound fishing line before staffers were able to successfully remove it from the tank.

The creature is covered with nasty bristles that sting and can cause permanent numbness in humans, the newspaper said.
"Tt really does look like something out of a horror movie," Matt Slater, the aquarium's curator, told the Mail. "It's over 4 feet long with these bizarre-looking jaws."
Slater said he suspects Barry arrived as a baby in a shipment from another aquarium. The worm now lives in his own tank.

    ughh

I don't know whether to be repulsed or intrigued!

Also those adds sure go along with the article. Anyone need a colon cleanse, I think Barry would do a great job.

I never said how much... It is still a creature that needs an aqueous environment. This was what I had in mind:

Really though, assuming it was out of water, even a small amount could end that buggar. The cool thing is that critters like that have a semipermeable skin, so the salt would suck the juice right out of it. It would take more than salt than a nightcrawler though, that's for sure.

LOL....I know, I was just messing...

.....but this thing is like the Chuck Norris of worms, with a touch of ninja...

All the while it's over 4 FEET LONG, it's hiding from everyone for MONTHS....Eats fish hooks, broke coral. fubar'd the traps, chewed through 20 pound test line - I mean damn.....I use 2-4lb for Trout on my UL gear...8lb is ok for some larger Bass but too light for Northern Pike/Musky. 20lb test is MORE THAN twice the size and strength of 8lb test - I wonder if it was "Spider line"........duh duh duh -Tsh..........lol........bad joke........

..........AND has spines that stab you with novacaine that renders you numb forever.......

Imagine our mothers' reactions, if this thing were to ever pop out of a toilet while she was sitting on it........LMFAO - EPIC PWNAGE

Personally I'd rather be attacked by a Doberman or other large dog, even if it involved serious injuries, than be bitten by this slimy monster. It would be just too creepy, and to get bit you would probably not see it coming because you'd be swimming near coral. Yep, I'd take the dog mauling any day!

On the plus side, with all those little legs this thing doesn't look like it could swim after you like a sea snake.
