        Hehe

To be fair, I don't think any half-ton would have taken that abuse.

I think i just had an aneurysm.

AT WHAT POINT IS A 1/2 TON TRUCK GOING TO TAKE A LOG THE SIZE OF THE DAMN TRUCK?

Someone missed the lecture on 'density' in school, obviously.

Looks like the frame is bent / broken now too. See the change in angles right behind the cab :)... and its a weak point when overloading these things that extremely.

            /Drive a Chevy 1500, not a knock.

Probably could have gotten away with it if you had put the weight back behind the axles (or better yet directly over the axles) of the trailer.

Definitely, i cant see a bedbox tweaking down like that if the frames not moving too... Unless they attached the hitch to the bedbox somehow

I'd like to know what that log weighed..

                12,740lbs

I've been watching AXE Men AND stayed at a Holiday inn express last night

Oak = 55 pounds per cubic foot dried

                Figure 10' x 5'dia = 196c.f. x 65lb/c.f.

why would they load it so far forward

at least it didnt make it on the road and have a tire failure/have a chance to hurt someone.

they did more than overload the truck.....they bottomed out the suspension and tried to lift the front of the truck by putting weight on the rear bumper. Lever arms > any frame

Good thing they set it down slowly with the forks to make sure it wasn't overloaded rather than just rolling it on huh?

That would have only made sense. That is why it was not done.

so, even if this guy got his huge log home, how was he getting it off his trailer?
