as all counts go, yes. Err, at least i think so. I messaged them once the deadline was reached and they said they had to verify 'the winner' was actually enrolled and attending classes. I havent missed a class yet, and my empty bank account sure says im enrolled so i guess i just wait at this point.

lol, your probably right. I sent them another message on facebook cause thats the only contact i have with the people running the contest. got this back a few days later:

I can personally guarantee to you that this contest has not been swept under the rug. Actually, I personally am picking up a laptop when I return to the Pembroke area next week. I am currently on perfessional development courses in Ottawa.

A winner was chosen by the voting process.

I apologize for the lack of communication on our part. I hope you can accept my heart-felt apology. I had assumed that the winner was notified. I will be contacting my Manager to have him make an official announcement.

Some of the College's policies do indicate that we wait until after our audit date (November 1) to ensure that the student is still enrolled in a program etc. This was our first "kick at the can" so to speak and we have learned a lot and moving forward will make changes to ensure student satisfaction.

Update!

Got the computer finally! its an acer 5517. Not bad for free, think im gonna keep it and just have it to mess around with. maybe sell it come summer.
