        haha. you have obviously never worked in shipping. i do.
        at least where i work we will sometimes have soo many packages come down a chute at a time that they jam up on the slides and then they get really packed in there. we try our best to keep the packages in tact, but they will catch on stuff and if the package get squished a bit the tape can and will rip. i've had 5lb boxes fall apart in my hand as i've picked them up because the box got a little wet from rainy conditions and then being squished somewhere along the line. cardboard is an ok container as long as it doesn't get bent. and sometimes when the boxes open the item comes down first, then the box. the items don't always get back to their box. the usps should have a place they ship items to be claimed.
