Anyone know if crkt n gerber have any connection to each other?

Same design as the m16 with some small differences. The Evo is larger than the m16, while the Evo JR is a bit smaller.

+1 for KISS. I kept loosing good knifes and didn't want anything too bulky. I paid less then 10$ for two kiss over 4 years ago thinking they would be getting replaced regularly....murphys law states that you only loose expensive knifes so I have both KISS in my drawer still.... The blade holds up fine, the tip seems to go dull for whatever reason? And it's not a very stable design...ie grabbing the knife like a typical knife and a little pressure in the wrong direction and the lock opens and the blade comes back. Great knife for having a knife on you, poor knife for daily use.Comment

I have been carrying a Paladin tools knife for a couple of years now and they seem to do pretty good. The only thing I really don't like about them is the clip tends to break a little to easy. The blade itself is made by SOG, and holds an edge pretty descent . I am partial to them though mainly because I do a lot of low voltage wiring and they are handy for that since the do the job of 3 different tools. If you don't do any wiring they might not be that attractive to you, but I find the wire strippers on them to be the cats meow. Here's a link to check em out.

I think if i did that much wiring, i'd have wire strippers/cutters/crimpers around...Originally posted by fishmishinI have been carrying a Paladin tools knife for a couple of years now and they seem to do pretty good. Hrm. I've never had my KISS knives slip the lock. Maybe I just use / hold mine differently than you do.Originally posted by bornl33t+1 for KISS. Edit: which blade style do you have? I've always used the Tano edge, but I think there's a drop point one out there too. Currently using a 1/2 serrated KISS in the Dark.

I bought a very nice benchmade years ago, I loved that knife, but I about cried when I lost it last year
The axis lock system is sweet though. I like it way better than any other i've used.
