How long have you been playing and what are your favorite types of maps. I used to play all the time. Can't quite play like I used to due to the fact I got married last july and the wife doesn't quite understand the idea of computer games. Prefer to play paintball so kinda had to give up the 1 to 2 hour games online.

What is your b.net name anyways? I might have ran into you before. Mine is or was MidnightRider. If I do get online again to play it will only be between 5 and 10pm.

I used to about 2 years ago. I was damn good too, i had a nice solid account, i was reconized where ever i went because of my high scores. I had around 70 wins, 40 losses for ladder games, and i had near 300 somethign wins and around 100 something losses on regular.

I havn't logged on in about a year so its all gone now!!! Seemed like a waste of tiem tht i played so long to get a really nice score but ended up getting deleated cuz i havn't played in a long time.

//edit: bTW, Protoss is sssoooooo cheap, only newbs use Toss :-p. I ususally just select random race.

I only play on BGH(big game hunters) protoss only for newbies huh? I usally play 2v3 or 1v2 and my record is like 312wins 80loses I think....my name on B.net is Havoc_online just like hear... I've been playing off and on for about 3yrs. I stopped for a long time, but now I get a game in every now and then....

yah, I used to play BW back in the day. "Big Dong" (otherwise known as Zumina) had a 138-33 ladder score, and a 822-123 regular game score. Let's just say, the game CONSUMED me for a solid two years. I used to play about 4 games a day during the school week, and in upwards of 50 on the weekends.

I play around whenever I get the chance... Haven't had time in the past few months. I've played maybe 5 games total since Dec. I love a few protoss units(templar I swear, I'd give my zerglings if zerg could have a unit like a templar... ) , but my race is zerg. I'm not all that great, but I've impressed some guys with some very nice records before with my lurker drops.. *smirks* I mainly play my friends at UA, and only one of them ever poses a challenge, so the game kinda got old... Anyways, if you ever see me on (my name there is DaosBeoulve--original, eh?) yell at me and I'll play.

I played a couple times when I could use my pops computer. The name was NapalmDeath666. I usually played with Recon_00 and .Ender. Both are good friends but .Ender. is unbelievable to watch or play against. Protoss or Terrans are my race. If I'm playing with my friends I'm usually terrans cause I like handing out eviction notices to the zergs. (nuke em)When we play online I'm usually protoss and end up taking a SCV and build terran as well. Well mainly seige tanks anyway. Mind Control has it's advantages and disadvantages though. Can get expensive building and producing twice the normal amount. Anyways. It has been at least a year since I've played it. I moved and now I have a poopy computer. OH well.

i could never get into starcraft. have any of you ever played total annihilation? personally i think ta is better than any of those other rts's. what are your opinions? why do you all like starcraft?

Why do we like Starcraft? It NEVER gets boring, you can play it a million times and there's still something you could be better at.

You actually have to think about what you do, you have to plan out your attacks and defence, it can be quite a challenging game.

It's so friggin fun! You can play for hours and hours again, I had to give it up because it was taking up like 3 hours on weekdays and like almost all of my weekends (except nights).

I had to destroy all my SC and BW cd's because it was really eating at my marks and social life, if you have no life Starcraft will fix all your problems. I just got too much other stuff to worry about.

Warning to all you SC players: If you quit playing SC and you don't want to start playing again, try not to EVER play, if you play once you will want to play again, then again, then again and so on. It's like drugs.

Brood War is by far one of the best computer games out there. By far...

That and Grand Theft Auto 3 for PS2. That ones deadly...

have you played TA. i've never talked to someone who has really played both. i only played starcraft for like 10 minutes cause i was hooked on TA at the time and couldn't stand to even look at starcraft. i'd like to know if someone can give me an opinion after actually sitting down and REALLY playing both of them.

Age of empires 2 owns SC anyday in my opinion, and yes i have played BOTH, im kind of an aok junkie. I think it is the best real-time strategy game ever created, literally...i should play it again, i quit a while back, i think im gonna play again, definetely...DAMMIT GUYS IM BLAMING U FOR DOING THIS, BYE BYE CURRENT LIFE, U GOT ME HOOKED ON AOC(aok expansion) AGAIN!!! AHHHH!!!

Midnight...try deathmatch, ever start out with 20k wood and food...10k gold and 5k stone? How's that for fast paced, action from the second the game starts.....Economy comes into play later, but u need it BIG TIME, cuz ur pumpin stuff out like paladins and siege so fast, you need mad food and wood and gold(from trade.) Dam i love that game
