    LEGO maniacs

Who else was one? Im guessing a lot of people that like to tinker, build, tune etc. had some LEGOs at one point. I was a junkie. Ive still got a whole suitcase full of them in my attic. If they were actually in the house I would probably still mess with them.

I think its funny they are from Denmark. Ill bet LEGOs were the Ikea guys first invention.

Technics and Space themed legos! My mom would get so angry when I would have full scale battles in the living room (lots of little pieces to step on). And my older brother would 'check' to see if the planes I built would fly. 20 years later, I still have my collection sitting in the storage. Good times.. good times..

I have many many many many boxes of legos somewhere. I am looking forward to having kids one day so I can have an excuse to get them out and play with them.

My parents still have several huge plastic tubs of them at their house for when people with younger kids visit.

I love it when my younger cousins and I visit their house. I get to play with legos.

Well thats always been my excuse for not getting rid of them. But it doesnt look like kids are in the cards for me. So I almost feel obligated to get them out and make something epic with them.

DECOY: I too had mostly the space LEGOS. They just got so friggin' expensive. Have you seen the prices lately?

The combined awesome of these two sets is more dangerous than dividing by zero. Maybe it just means I'm a huge dork, but I have one of each built and on display, and another BNIB. They may or may not receive more attention than my dog.

Damn, those plastic pieces infused with gold or something?
                    Almost a grand?

                    I'd go for a huge *** Slave I though.

I still have all the Lego's from when I was a kid. And 3 of my own kids worth added on after. We have a LOT of Lego's. I think my youngest likes them the best. He is going to be a tinkerer for sure and he really likes the K'nex stuff for some reason. Kind of neat how it is all compatible. I was going through all the old boxes and some of this stuff has to be collectors items.

Im guessing Im not the only one that blew up more than one creation as well. I get depressed when I think about how much $$ worth of Star Wars, GI Joe, etc. I toasted. It sure was fun at the time though.

seeing the price of that one above makes me wish I kept the directions/boxes to repackage them.

I was about to comment on that myself. The small/medium kits are priced what the large kits used to be.

I still have a large box of them stored in the attic. Unfortunately that it gets so hot up there, I hate to think about what I might find.

My fav was also the "space" themed parts with the clear blue "windshields"...

I had actually entertained the thought of giving them to my son to play with. But after seeing what he did to my extensive collection of hotwheels cars...I decided I had better not.

I own this set, picked up direct from lego on sale for $200. It's freaking HUGE!!!

That said, I own multiple $100+ sets, including an Technic supercar that among other things, has a real working transmission.

I've got 2 Huge tubs full of bits and projects, not including the sets I've got built and on display.

I attribute my being an Mech egr to my lego collection. I even proof of concept'ed a new loader out of legos at one point.

Legos seem to average about $0.10 / piece in sets, depending on total set size.
