Oh man was I ever! I was even subscribed to the Lego magazine. I sent in a picture of one of my creations but I don't think it ever got published in the mag. I still have all my stuff down in the basement lol.

Dude I was a LEGO freak when I was a kid. I can remember building an 18 wheeler rig on a family road trip one time with a box trailer and all. My son is in to them now and always wants me to help him find that one piece at the bottom of the box. Now I know what my parents meant by that annoying "raking" sound.

I have a closet full at my parent's house.

They are under strict instructions that it is never to be parted with until I have kids... when it will be passed on to them.

From time to time I will pop Star Wars (IV-VI) in the dvd player, pull out about half the closet, and just start building some sort of mecha or starfighter... and veg out for 8+ hours. Amazingly theraputic.

I used the legocad application one day to design and build a lego emag. There was as thread here but the pics are long gone

I should dig up that program and see if I can do it again

                Can give em up

I was raised on legos. My brother and I would buy kits just for the special pieces or that one piece needed. I really got into building fully mobile mechs( hands, shoulders, torso, hips, ect) with the plan to string them up and make anamations. Never happened but I still have 200+lbs in giant tubs and a select box of pieces that I take where ever I move too. I'm going to have kids just for an excuse to play with legos for hours at a time. Legos and automags are the reason I'm studying engineering.

i have the Stardestroyer. i think i got 20 steps in and then life stepped in. haven't had the time or space to work on it again. i think the stardestroyer had like 100 or more pages in the book. and it was decently sized.

just went back and reread some of the posts, 1k for the destroyer ? i got it for like 300 with tax

also, isn't there a million lego club or something? i remember hearing people talking about it but i can't find it on google.
