yes they used to be allowed. It was before my time.

I think members were putting sigs that were anti other members.

the size of the sigs got way out of control and was affecting how fast pages loaded and such so sigs were removed.. wow i think i just dated myself for knowing that.

The Mods got really ban-happy for a few months about 2-3 years ago. Certain people were banned- some members thought those people were banned unjustly. Those members started lashing out at the mods by abusing the flexibility of the sig function. In stead of creating "better" signature rules and enforcing them, the mods removed signatures all together.

I'd say that's a pretty accurate version of the story.

Lesson learned- no sig funny business!

Man that had to be more than 2-3 years ago... has to be closer to 4-5.

I wish it were as easy as knowing the font but I don't know it, I am just doing a little photoshopping/hand drawing.
