Where is a good place to go in So. Caro/Geor./Bama Area for spring break?

Hey guys, the wife and I are heading to visit a friend in Tennessee in a couple weeks ( I live in IN) and were thinking about going East for a few days and hitting up a nice beach side area. We arent planning on getting in the water much, so if its cool its no big deal. Does anyone suggest a nice secluded area near or on the beach? Someplace fairly near a nice tourist town. We cant decide if we want to stay in Tennessee and just do all the tourist items or head east. Tnx AO!

btw: We definately arent Partiers, so where are the kids are at is not where I want to be

definitely go to Charleston SC, there are some good beaches in the area and it is a really nice town. It will still be a bit to cold to go into the water but with all the other tings to do around the coast I don't think it will be a problem.
